LASSANA at Sheung Wan is a translation of European architecture in collaboration with Hong Kong culture.
The horizontal architecture of the space allows us to develop the coffee shop into three zones. On the right is an outdoor area with ceiling fans for relaxing. A pair of bi-folding windows with bar seating connects the indoor and outdoor experience. Inside the coffee shop, an U shape banquette seat sets for a proper dining experience, which can be flexibly rearranged into a space for events.
The warm white texture painted wall naturally blends into the multicultural neighborhood. While the modern interpreted arches and colours redefine its existing architecture, the black metalwork outlines the horizontal façade from its beautiful neighborhood and surrounding older buildings.
Timber framed Shan Shui paint wall covering at the coffee counter complements the European-inspired mosaic tiles border. The composition of the mosaic border took inspiration from the historical European fountains to elicit a subtle sense of celebration.
